Everything You Need to Know About Waystone’s Move

When is Waystone’s re-opening?

We are re-opening at our new location on Saturday, February 14th. The booking system will open for reservations starting at 6pm on Tuesday, February 3rd.

Why did the old location close?

Our building has been sold to a developer as part of a large construction project in our neighborhood.

Where is the new location?

The Ballard Square building, just down the street. 2232 NW Market St, Suite 204.

How can I help?

If you’re reading this, you probably already support us in big ways. That being said, if you want to help out even more, here are a couple of options:

Purchase a gift card to spend at the new location

We have gift cards! You can purchase them in-person, or on our website (and we’ll even ship them for you). They make a great holiday gift for friends at the club, or folks who you might want to rope into our special brand of nerd-dom. Every gift card purchase helps out by giving us a little extra working capital as we go into the move.

Help us avoid debt through our GoFundMe

We launched a GoFundMe in August after creating a preliminary budget and concluding that Waystone would need to take on about $30,000 of debt to complete our move.

Due to our prolonged construction permitting process, the costs of the move have already begun to exceed expectations. Every dollar beyond our initial goal will continue to help us Waystone avoid debt.

How is the community staying connected while Waystone is closed?

  • We will be rallying folks for social meetups on a bi-weekly basis! Keep an eye on our Events page for more details.

  • Joining in to help us prepare the new space will be a great way to connect with friends from the club and take part in shaping the next space.

  • It’s going to be a weird time, but we can use it to connect with each other in new contexts—don’t be afraid to reach out to your friends from the club while the new space is under construction.

Online Hobby Hangouts:

  • Mondays, 6 to 9pm (hosted by Garrett!)

  • Sundays, 10am-1pm (hosted by Dustin)

Can I continue to place and pick up Games Workshop orders while Waystone is closed?

Yes! We’ll continue to fulfill orders as normal while Waystone is closed. Members can continue to place order requests, and we will host pickup times each week for anyone to stop in, say hello, and get a sneak peek at the new space while it is under construction.

Designated pickup times:

  • Wednesdays and Fridays from 5 to 7

  • Saturdays from 10:30am-1:30pm

Free 30-minute parking is available in the paid lot on the north side of the building.

Can I pause or have my membership refunded while Waystone is closed?
