Membership at a reduced cost.

Waystone and its members are committed to creating a vibrant community where players of all backgrounds can experience a sense of belonging. If the cost of membership is prohibitively expensive for a potential member, Waystone offers a limited number of memberships at a reduced cost. This is made possible by donations raised during our Kickstarter campaign, as well as by our Community Amplifiers.

 
 

  1. Visit first. Come in as a guest, purchase a day pass, or message us about scheduling a game at no cost. We want to make sure you enjoy the space before signing up. This is not a personality test or an interview.

  2. Fill out the form. (below) It will ask you to choose the membership rate that fits your budget (no less than half of the current rate). Waystone will not ask you to disclose any personal or financial information. We’ll approve your request in 1-3 days, then reach out about creating your account.

  3. Full membership. You’ll be a full Waystone member for all intents and purposes, including the ability to reserve tables and take advantage of member discounts. Waystone’s leadership will never disclose information about reduced-cost memberships.

For the sustainability of our club and this policy, please only consider a reduced cost membership if…

  • You have visited Waystone, and enjoyed the space & community.

  • Your current income makes a membership prohibitively expensive.

Please do not consider a reduced cost membership if…

  • You simply believe the standard rate is unfair and would like a discount.

  • You are primarily interested in getting discounts on Games Workshop items.

  • Waystone’s goal is to create a space that fosters connection and belonging around a shared love for miniatures games.

    Everyone deserves to experience the joy of our hobby without judgment on the basis of their gender, experience level, sexuality, playstyle, disability, religion, race or socioeconomic status, and without the pressure of unwanted romantic pursuit or demand for overt displays of political agreement and social savvy.

    We aim to be encouraging and helpful towards newcomers while also allowing them time and space to get comfortable at their own pace.

    We celebrate one anothers’ autonomy, including choices about what games to play or who we play with, and value consent before engaging in any form of physical contact, photography, or handling of one another’s belongings.

    We deeply value political engagement, but keep Waystone a place for people to rest and recharge by reserving debates and discussions for direct messages or in-person conversation.

    We recognize that even though we’re a space for adults, it isn’t a place for demeaning or pornographic language and imagery.

    If something bothers you (or if something you’ve done is bothering someone else), it is always okay to talk, listen, and (if necessary) apologize. Waystone’s staff is also here to support.

  • Waystone is currently open for table reservations Wednesday through Sunday. Bookings can be made one day in advance on any available table through our online booking form. For last-minute bookings, please email us or get in touch via Discord. Please note what kind of game you’ll be playing and any guests you’re bringing when you make a booking—this allows us to do nice things such as prepare your terrain.

    You can always stop in for an impromptu game if you suspect that there may be an open table, but if no reservations have been made for a given date/time, Waystone may close early.
